Today I am thankful for the sacrifice Jesus gave during Easter about 2000 years ago. He gave His life - a life He lived WITHOUT any sin - can you imagine that? Never jealous, never spiteful, never talking bad about anybody, even as a kid, He was without sin, so that you and me might be saved. That's why we can celebrate Easter today, because He not only gave His life for me, He rose from the dead, He beat death. And as the poem says: Only one short sleep past, wake eternally, Death thou shalt die.
