I made it another round and thankful Sunday

 I made it through this round of SYTYC. I'm thrilled because I love my next projects and would love to be able to show them off.

Iam so grateful for a Sunday with my girls today, that I won't spend time on the computer anymore, rather spend time with them and then later have Sunday school at my church.

Grateful Resurrection Day

Today I am thankful for the sacrifice Jesus gave during Easter about 2000 years ago. He gave His life - a life He lived WITHOUT any sin - can you imagine that? Never jealous, never spiteful, never talking bad about anybody, even as a kid, He was without sin, so that you and me might be saved. That's why we can celebrate Easter today, because He not only gave His life for me, He rose from the dead, He beat death. And as the poem says: Only one short sleep past, wake eternally, Death thou shalt die.

Grateful Sunday

 Today I'm especially grateful for other people's trash. I went to the garbage dump yesterday with some (real) garbage. There they have a big garage with "garbage" that isn't garbage. Let me explain - people coming to the dump can put their stuff in this garage if they think other people might like it. This is really: Some people's trash is other people's treasure. Yesterday I found the items on these pictures - a chest - will be really beautiful painted and two shelves - one is perfect for my kitchen. And they were all for FREE. Grateful.

 I'm grateful for my six-year old losing her teeth, the other one hasn't started yet, and she thinks it's kind of unfair, but she's better now. I love the look of her smile - three teeth missing.

I'm thankful for new chances - I didn't get to tidy much yesterday, but I get another chance today. Today I'm armed with FlyLady and my timer - IT WILL GET DONE IN TIME FOR DINNER GUESTS. I did get my table painted, one coat left - and it's all done - happy dance.

And I'm grateful for the sun shining in my window, for to little bikes coming out from a snowed in barn - it means it's SPRING.

Today I am grateful for...

It's Sunday and time for my I am grateful-post again. I just love Sundays - I love that they usually last for a while, because our pace is slower.

Today I'm grateful for sleep-overs - the very first one, in fact. Not that they've never slept anywhere else, but this was the very first time they stayed at a friends house over night. And I just loved the long morning - doing some tidying here and there, planning some creative projects - nice.

I picked them up at 2 - enough time by my self to get a lot of work done and just in time so I wouldn't miss them too much. I'm thankful for these special moments with my girls where we get to sit down and play a game.

Today I also feel grateful for friends - my friends, got to go out for dinner with two friends last night, and the girls' friends - friends are important. I'm also very grateful for the friends I get to know here, through my blog. I'm grateful for the comments people make and the people adding themselves as followers.

I'm thankful spring is coming. Today we had some snow, but it turned into rain. And now the sun is shining. I just love living this far north, having the looooong, bright evenings during spring and summer. And last night we got summertime, so now the evening is even brighter.

My girls don't like to wear pants or jeans, specially during the cold season when they have to wear stockings underneath - they feel like they can't move freely. So today I made some pants for them - some lose fit ones, to move around in - I'm done with the pale blue ones - while making these, I thought, what a perfect color for a baby boy - my cousin will have a boy in May, so I made a pair for him as well. The other twin will have some purple ones. They will be made after they've gone to bed. I'll also make some matching tops.

Today I am grateful for...

Finally Sunday. I love Sundays - and because Sundays usually are so lazy I have a great opportunity to think about my life and the things I'm grateful for.

I do have a lot of things to be grateful for, and I think I generally don't thank God enough for all the things He has given me. Today I'm grateful for my church, which is only half a mile away from my house - I'm thankful for my children's Sunday school - where they get to know God and get to form friendships with others.

I'm also thankful for the hour I spend on my bathroom floor, playing, cuddling and laughing with my daughters - priceless. I just love to BE with my girls.

I'm also grateful for my life, and for second-hand stores, specially the one where I bought these cute, four, vintage  pictures. Aren't they just the cutest?

Today I am grateful for...

Today I'm extra grateful for other blogs that give me the exact things I need in my personal life.

I am not a very organized person, but I would like to get there. A Bowl Full of Lemons is such a blog - she is so organized and she shares it freely with others.

This week's challenge is to organize your finances - and this is something I need. At New Years I made a calender for all of 2011 that will give me one new habit every month - January's habit was to do my dishes every day. It takes 21 days to form a new habit, so by 2012 I'm hoping I have 12 new habits to help me have an organized home.

And March's habit is to organize my finances - to be financially aware, to save and really see how I spend my money.

And when I opened my blog today, I saw that this is exactly the weekly challenge A Bowl Full of Lemons has today - I am grateful.

I will follow everything she does (and hopefully win her give-away), and next weekend I will probably be even more grateful.

I am also extremely grateful for spring.

Today I am grateful for...

Today I am grateful for a long walk in the woods, with a clear blue sky. I am grateful that the snow is melting - the right way, by sun and not rain.

I am grateful we could spend some time with my mother - she is the best mom ever. I am so lucky to have her.

I am grateful I woke up, and that I'm able to spend yet another day with my girls, even though they started out early today.

I am grateful for lazy Sundays and not having to worry too much about the time. And I'm grateful for church.

This Sunday i am grateful for

We're having a lazy Sunday, and I am so enjoying it. And I was sitting here, thinking about all the things I am grateful for.

I am grateful for the two little ones playing next to me. I love hearing their voices in playful laughter.

I am grateful for my sewing machine, it's not a big, fancy one, but it's mine and it works.

I am grateful for finished products. Knowing someone will hopefully enjoy the things I make.

I am grateful for parents inviting to Sunday dinner. Yummy, I can't wait. Food is always so good at their house.
