Finally Friday on a Saturday

It's been a busy, busy week - gymnastics, movie theater, dinner at a friends house, sick girl, running out of gas, birthday party, broken car... Yes somethings wrong with my car. On the way to work yesterday I stopped at a store and then it wouldn't start again... I'm blessed with good friends and someone I know remotely drove me to work and then some friends came to pick me up and have a look at the car. Will be trying to locate the spare parts today, and my friend's husband has promised to put it in - blessed!

I'm getting really ready to decorate my house a bit different - when I moved in here, I just painted my living room - need to do something here, but the kitchen, oh, the kitchen. It really needs to get done. I'm so ready!!! Just need to get some paint. I'm really loving this pastel country look - it makes me happy just looking at the pictures - for my kitchen I'll do white walls and a very pale blue cabinets! mmmh, bliss

Wohoo, it's Friday. I just love Fridays, especially when it's above freezing point, the sun is shining and the snow melting...

I found out two wonderful things today - my school paper isn't due for another three days, I thought it was tonight... and there is a job opening as a principal at an elementary school where I live - please keep all your fingers and toes crossed, I really would like this job.. I think.

This week has been a good one, we've gotten some skiing done, some spending time together, had some guests over, a really lazy day at work, so I'm not super tired today - a good start for the weekend!

this weekend the girls have a sleepover friend, we might go horseback riding tomorrow, or we might just stay at home. 

We're celebrating Mother's Day in Norway on Sunday, so then we're visiting my mother (and father).

I didn't cut the fabric for the Valentine dresses, so that will HAVE to get done tomorrow... and we're painting wooden hearts for the girls in the twins' class.

But most of all we're going to enjoy each other - I just love them so much and they grow up so very fast, I have to get every moment I can with them...

It's finally Friday

I just LOVE - I mean - I really look forward to Shannon from Luv in the Mommyhood's Weekend Wishes - I love the pictures she finds and the text she writes, and I have been wanting to copy her make something in that line myself.

Friday afternoons are usually really calm in our house, we're all just settling into the weekend, chilling and enjoying ourselves, which means I have some time to sit down by the computer and actually getting a post up.

This week has been kind of crazy, but not bad. I got a new substitute co-worker which means more work falls on me. I really like her - our faith is really important to both of us so we share a lot of the same interests. i still miss the one she's substituting for, though.

Then we had two deaths at the school next door, one old teacher, just died suddenly and a student - which is so tragic because he drove himself to death. Some of my friends have been really affected by this, and I feel so bad for them, wishing I could do more for them, something to relieve the pain.

On a brighter note, Ariana lost her front tooth - it's hard being twins when one twin looses four teeth before the other has lost one. Now they have lost respectively 6 and 4 - evening things out.

This weekend I plan to get at least an hour worth of work done on my kitchen, I want to start my daughters' valentine dresses and I'm teaching Sunday school Sunday. The girls might sleep over at my parents' house tomorrow (may I hear some cheering for that one?) and then the weekend is pretty much over - need to get some rest in as well, right?
