Sun dress tutorial

Today I will show you how I made these dresses - I made two of them in 50 minutes, so they are a quick project. Princess wanted a dress that went just across her chest, but we all know a 6-year old can't pull that one off just yet - but we came to an agreement...
What you'll need:
Piece of fabric - size 6 yr: 43,5 inch x 23,5 inch (110 cm x 60 cm)
Elastic for the bobbin
Ribbon for bottom and neck tie

Step 1: Put elastic on your bobbin - sew 8 to 10 rows of elastic - until desired length. I folded the top of the dress twice - like the second picture below - and sewed my first elastic seam over there.
Step 2: Sew side seam - make sure the elastic seams get under your side seam to secure them better.
Step 3: Fold your hem twice, iron if desired, sew.
Step 4: Turn around and sew ribbon over hem seam - for a little extra something.

Step 5: Sew a folded ribbon, long enough to tie around the neck, to the middle of the front of the dress.
You're all done.

Enjoy!
